Christmas Chaos

I have to say I absolutely love the Christmas season! I love the gift giving and I can't hide that I like receiving them too. For our shopping this year Steve and I decided we would brave the crowds and try out black Friday sales. Our first stop was Toys R Us, Biggest mistake of our lives, The line went about a mile long and we were just about at the end of it. The sale started at midnight and they were only letting in 20 people every 10 minutes or so. So needless to say the line moved extremely slow and it was bitter cold out. Steve and I stood with my sister Missy and her friend Charlotte for about 2 hrs, and there was still another 1 1/2 hr wait, so Steve and I decided to bag it only because we were going to get one toy from there for Brynlee, so I was not too concerned about it. So Then we headed to our wonderful Riverton Wal-Mart where the sale started at 5. we got there at about 1:30 AM and we were both so tired. we had not gone to sleep at all the night before. Being pregnant and not sleeping do not mix well. I was going to be getting Brynlee a vtech musical table that was on sale form 40 to 19, Kara was getting a Baby play set that had a stroller and highchair a potty and a crib, and also a Vtech V learning active learning game that plugs into the TV to tech her shapes and colors and numbers. I was then standing waiting by some toys and realized all my toys were on opposite ends of the building which meant a lot of scurrying around on my part considering Steve had left for Target to get our one item there. Luckily I had a friend that was getting some of the same stuff I was, so she was able to get stuff for me and I likewise for her. She even got her friend to help me out by getting Kara's Vtech thing. So I got the little table and some Christmas pajamas and then also decided that I would get Steve a Camera for his hunting. All we have is a Nikon and its a big nice camera that I would not let him take with him hunting. The is just a small digital one that he can take wherever, so I am pretty excited about that. Steve like I said went to target just down the street. He was headed for the Double Screen DVD player that hooks to the back of the seats so the girls can watch TV shows in the car. SO HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!! they hate car rides and this will make it so much easier on us, especially when we go on long car rides which happens frequently going to and from Idaho. Pretty much done with all the shopping now, Steve just has to finsh with me and with then he has to also buy for Brynlee;s birthday on the 30th and mine which is on the 4Th of January. too much going on this month.

Speaking of Idaho, Steve got called for his interview for the site. He would be working as a security officer out there. It is a marine engineering company. We drove down there on the night of the 30Th of November, and Steve's interview was on the 1st an 9 am. He was nervous, but since he had an in at the place it was not such a bad experience. The people who were interviewing Steve knew his cousin Afton and her dad Eric, so they highly recommended him and they gave him an interview. There were about 600 applicants by the time it was all said and done and they only had 30 interviews for I think the 5 people being hired. Steve felt that it went really well with one Guy, but the other two were hung up on his headaches because he was medically discharged from the Army for it. It has never affected his work and he has always been really good at what he does. They were happy with the fact he is LEO certified and scored a 50/50 on his last certification on his Gloc. So they were glad that they would not have to train him on that, and he is already used to wearing heavy accessories on his uniform for example: Bullet proof vest, utility belt which holds a taser, gun, handcuffs, flashlight, mase I think, and all that together is a lot of weight to carry around and they were concerned he would not be able to handle it... He kind of chuckled at that since he wears that outfit every day. So we are still waiting to hear back from them now. We are hoping in the next few weeks to find out a yes or no. when and if he gets the job it is a 4 month clearance that he has to go through which means our whole life is no longer personal, they know everything about us, every detail, so if he gets it we wont be moving down there for at least another 6 months. We will see, but we are really hoping and praying to get it considering it is 50,000 a year, and with the overtime he will be making double that! I can't even imagine 100,000 a year! It really is just a tad out of reach right now LOL. We have lots of adventures ahead of us with this job and having a new baby in our lives as well in June. Crazy life.

Brynlee will be one on the 30Th of this month! I cant believe it! my how times flies. She is walking and has been since she was 10 months, and she has currently 3 teeth and working on the 4Th. KaraLynn is going to be going into Primary Starting in January, She is so big and so smart, she loves going to Nursery and playing with all the kids, she is so good with sharing and helping the other kids be happy. She is such a joy, most of the time anyway LOL, she has plenty of moments. well that is it for us for now, Life is great and I have the best family ever!

Have I done any good today?

It is a funny thing when for some reason in one lesson and meeting someone for the first time, they teach you something that you needed to hear and learn from. I don't know about you, but that happens to me quite frequently. Today I went visiting teaching in my ward for the first time with a gal I had never met. She offered to do the lesson and I brought some goodies. The topic we were supposed to discuss was our choice from any conference talk, and she chose Have I done any good Today from Thomas S. Monson. Basically it was saying that you need to consume yourself in helping others and giving to others without complaint. If you did not hear it or read I suggest you do because it is very powerful.
My problem lately and why this message was so powerful to me was because lately I have found myself being very selfish with the time I have with my husband. I love him so much that I don't really like it when he does things for other people because he does so often, because he is a good person with a big heart. He is always so giving and he enjoys helping others and doing things for them that need to be done. I find myself very irritated with him for this because I want ME time and FAMILY time. I realized today that I need to have a bigger heart like Steve does and start doing my own services and giving of myself freely. There are so many that need help and so many that I can do something good for, but I have not been looking for it. so basically I am going to try to do something good for others... Now ask yourself...

HAVE YOU DONE ANY GOOD TODAY? and APPLY it in your life:)

November 2009

It Has been such a crazy month! Lots to talk and write about and not a whole ton of time either! I will give it my best shot though.

For starters we are still renting out our home in Eagle Mountain so that we have to freedom to go wherever the road takes us with out of state jobs. Steve has been applying mostly just in Idaho but also a couple here in Utah. He applied for a parole officer job in Salt Lake City and had an interview a couple weeks ago that went really well, but the talk is that they are just bringing back in the rifters, so the interview process was a big waste of time we think. He also applied at a place called the site in Idaho Falls. It is an officer job as well and actually pays considerably higher than what he is getting paid now. We are Looking at about 50 grand a year if he gets this job. He was called for an interview on December 1st, they are hiring 8 people and there are 40 people being interviewed. We are really crossing our fingers and praying that he lands this job. We have wanted and felt like we should move to Idaho for some time, but have not had the opportunity with jobs thus far. We are hoping that with some faith that things will work out the way they are supposed to.

Steve and I just recently got the opportunity to go on the cruise wer have had planned since January of this year! Long time to wait. We left on November 1st for Mexico on the Carnival Cruise lines. It was the new ship, and was not all that impressive after seeing other ships, but it was still really fun. We went to Puerto Vallarta Mexico first. The place was a dump! no seat belts in any vehicles, kids driving cars, trash and feces all over the place, you could just smell it! We did a shore excursion with zip lining in the jungle part which was extremely fun! HAd a little clothing mishap on one of the lines while hanging upside down, but not much can be done to make that go away LOL. We went down thirteen ziplines and then had some yummy fresh made salsa and chips.... Then we took the long ride back to our ship. We then went to Mazatlan, where we had horseback riding on the beach! That was way fun! We got to run our horses in the water and see dead sting rays on the beach from the hurricane that had just ended. Lots of puffer fish and stingrays were on the beach. Sad to see them there :( we ended that one at a fish house where i had a chicken cheese quesadilla that was simply more amazing than I can even describe and steve got fresh mahi mahi that was to die for! The next day we were in Cabo san Lucas which was so beautiful! All we did there was do the shopping, we got some really pretty hand painted plates and bowls for super cheap and some cute presents for our girls. All in all it was an unforgettable trip that we look forward to doing again! Here are a few pictures of the trip!

Lastly and I think the most exciting of all is about a week before I started to get really sick. I was nauseous all the time and I thought for sure I had the flu because everyone else did. I decided against all odds that I would take a pregnancy test even though I just knew it would be negative because it took so long for our second one. We had only tried once, but I guess that one time did it because there it was in bold letters PREGNANT! I was thrilled but also kind of nervous because Our youngest was only 9 months and I was nervous about what people would say and think. But after some time and a lot of negative feedback, I decided that I would just forget them all! if the didnt like it then forget them! it was not their choice, not their life. This is mine. I told myself that I was commanded to multiply and replenish the earth and that I was building my eternal family and i was happy with how it was going! So I just brushed it all off and said deal with it cause it is not going to go away. So we are expecting our third child June 19th ( so far) I will have a better date at my next app when they can see the baby better and get more accurate readings! We are crossing our fingers and toes and counting our lucky stars that this is a boy! third times the charm! We will keep you posted on this wonderful event and post pictures when we have them! Thanks to all those who are supportive and who are happy for us:) We are thrilled to be opening our family up to a new little angel!

OUr Brynlee who is now ten months old just started walking. She only crawled for about 3 weeks before she started taking one or two steps and then falling, but while we were away on our cruise she got the hang of it and is now walking full time and has some major attitude LOL. She especially likes to growl and hear her own voice. She is so full of energy and we love her so much! KaraLynn is 3 and has too much energy for me, sometimes I wish she would transfer some over to me so I can get through this morning sickness crap. She is such a big helper and just recently moved into her own room in the basement which she says she shares with her imaginary friend called "cousin" He has white eyes and goes everywhere with her. We even have to tuck him in at night and give him blankets and stuffed animals and give him kisses before bed. Weird, I know, but it makes her happy. I'm sure every kid goes through this, and it is a fun adventure!
Sorry im so horrible with updating, I need to do better but just never find the time. maybe that will be my goal for next year, to keep writing in my blog often. This is us for now! until my next entry!

The battle with sleep!

OK, so just so we are on the same page, Brynlee is 9 months old, and for some time she has not been sleeping AT ALL at night. She usually is up every hour, sometimes lets it go 2 hrs between waking up, but mainly every hour. She has been doing this for several months... Can you see how I might be frustrated? WELL last night I decided I had to be done with it because I was getting really short with the girls and had absolutely no patience whatsoever. I felt horrible about it, but I decided that I was going to have to let her cry it out like i had been told to by Doctor's. SO Night one was a little rough... We didn't get home from Eagle Mountain until 10:30 pm so it was already 2 hours past when they normally go down. Kara was fast asleep in the back seat as well as Brynlee So i was hopeful she would just stay asleep, but no such luck. We got Kara situated into our room on the floor and then I got Brynlee ready for bed. She had her normal bedtime bottle which calms her down and then I told her how much I loved her and gave her lots of hugs and kisses. Then like I always do (i sing to the girls at night) I sang Brynlee Twinkle Twinkle little star, Rock a by baby, and I am a child of God. She was calm while I was singing and then the second I went to leave she started to cry but I knew I needed to just walk out. So I waited for a while and when she was still going at it we went in and realized that for the first time she had pulled herself up on the side rail of the crib and was just standing there, and I don't think she knows how to sit back down after standing up LOL, I did not want her to fall down so I laid her back down and put her Binky back in and she closed her eyes, but the second my hand left her and she could not see me anymore she started crying again, but again I left. She went at it until 12 midnight and finally went to sleep... What a relief! I finally was able to get a full nights rest UNTIL about 4 in the morning I woke up to the sound of breathing on my face and i could feel the stare of lttle eyes on me. Kara had climbed into our bed and was just sitting there staring at me and breathing on my cheek. The nerd. So I told her to go to sleep, which she didn't do right away but several minutes later... All in all though I did get more sleep than I have had in months. Good feeling. I felt horrible but it is going to be better for us all in the long run I think.

Been a LONG time

It has been such a long time since i have written on here! I get so busy with life and everything else that I just have forgotten to get on... so there is a lot to write on. BUT here we go...

Steve just recently applied for a job for the Idaho Falls Police Department. He placed #11 out of the 45 people that applied and tested! WOOHOO... he did so good! they will be looking at the top ten to come back for more testing with the department in October. SO we are really hoping that a few of the people already have a job or are not interested anymore so that we can move to Idaho Falls or somewhere nearby. We love Idaho In general because the homes are so cheap and because our favoritest cousins live here!!!! LOL. So we will let you know how that testing goes. We should find out within the next month or so.

KaraLynn Just turned 3 and she is such a character!!! she is so full of energy sometimes i don't know what to do with it! She needs to pass some on to me to get through the day better. She loves helping out with her new sister... and sometimes helps a little bit too much when she wakes her up and says that she slept good... UGH annoying~ She also tries to give her a bottle which ends up all over Brynlees' face... what a mess. But non the less she is an awesome big sister and other than her constant nagging she is such a fun little girl. She is full of laughter and surprises!

Brynlee is now 9 Months old! crzy that i have not written on here since i was 7 months pregnant! Brynlee is definitely nothing like kara, she loves her pacifier and is a big whinner@! She likes to have the attention. She STILL does not sleep through the night. don't know what is up with that. karaLynn was sleeping through the night from the time we brought her home form the hospital... So needles to say I am pretty frustrated about being up several times during the night to feed her and put her back to sleep. so in turn I do not sleep hardly at all so luckily both girls are on a nap schedule for noon every day. so that is my time to be able to nap with them and regain my energy. Brynn is also my bigger child. She is such a chunk and it's so stinkin' cute! she has the cutest smile and always has soemthing to laugh about.

NOW me... I am just busy busy busy taking care of the girls. We have not been living in our house in eagle mountain since December of 2008. we are currently renting it out tot he floyd family and they are awesome renters. they take really good care of the house and have made a lot of improvements to the house. Earlier this year they helped us put in our fence. So that was really nice. Now when we move back we will have a house with a fenced in backyard. A LOT more privacy which i like. I hated having the neighbors walk through our yard! They also installed blinds throughout the house and painted rooms a lot of fun colors and designs. She did a lot of really neat yard work. They put in stone walkways to the side yeard and out in ground cover around the stones, so it looks really cool. And they will be leaving lot of the yard deco. for us because they have so much they don't know what to do with it all. So im really excited about that. I am still not working... Still a stay at home mom. It has it's up's and down's. I lve being able to be home and take care of my girls the way I want, I do not like the thought of leaving my kids with someone else and having them be raised their way. I love being able to experience all the little things that happen even when it is the frustrating things. Cause for some reason I look back at those times and really treasure them and try to appreciate everything even though sometimes, well a lot of times it is hard.... I just recently started watching my sisters 2 girls while they work. It is only 2 or 3 times a week and I get 30 a day. so it is more money than I had before. and I get to keep the girls with me for this so more time with them and the girls get to play with their cousins. Win Win situation the way I see it. I also just got an interview at the Developmental Center which is Tuesday the 8th. It ways $10 an hour which is more than any job i have been able to find. So im hoping that it works out and that i wont have to leave my girls with anyone for too long. We could really use the money so we shall see.

Pretty much that is all that has happened since i last wrote. not all too exciting, but it's life. I promise i wont take so long next time to write on the little things happeneing. I want to be able to look back and say OH i remember that happening! so i will be better!
